Client Spotlight: Southern Faire

Cindy Gleason Johnson has already cultivated an ardent following from her Farmer’s Market days, where she grew Beignets, LLC and Camellia Coffee – two delicious, local businesses near and dear to the local foodie scene. She has also served her “southern faire” at Shreveport’s Downtown Development Authority Pop Up event, and has been a steady fixture in local catering.

Cindy is now embarking on a new food adventure – Southern Faire, a catering company with a brick and mortar venue. Located at 1726 Elizabeth Street, Southern Faire can bring the food to you, or host any gathering in their home base. While Cindy can whip up anything a client requests, she specializes in the decadent southern food she grew up cooking with her mom, grandmothers, and home economics teacher. Some signature dishes include jambalaya, gumbo, poboys, shrimp & grits, crawfish pistolettes, and red beans & rice – comfort food to the last bite.

Drawing inspiration from Cindy’s classic southern menu and the fresh spring colors of the Southern Faire venue, Richard Creative worked with Cindy to create the perfect logo for her new business. Cindy says, “Danielle listened to my ideas, brand concepts and pulled it all together with visuals that help introduce us and begin to tell our story. Our logo really exemplifies what Southern Faire is all about, and give us a great introduction, and we take can it from there. Our logo can also be used as a whole or in part for many different applications, which will come in handy!”

Cindy is working to get the doors of Southern Faire open in the next month, and continues to cater any event with a minimum of 4 people. Each dish is crafted with love, thought, and attention the individual client’s needs. Whether your event calls for a custom menu or a table full of southern cuisine, Southern Faire is definitely the most delicious choice.
