It’s pretty easy to get caught up in the day-t0-day operations of running any business (while running a family and managing my time with volunteer projects and loads of other worthy causes). I’ve often said that graphic design is the one career where I get to be both nerdy AND creative. Both are my true passions and callings in life and I wouldn’t trade my career for anything in the world. But sometimes it’s easy to feel overly “busy” instead of “creative” and that’s no fun. Today I wanted to take a moment to compile some feedback I’ve received online, from total strangers, some solicited and some were total surprises. When I read through these I can’t help but stop and think “This! This is why I do what I do.” Any person’s work is informed by their experiences, and education and past connections, but when you realize that what you do also resonates with other people it’s kinda magical. These people living far away magically value what I value. We are all so very unique. No two people will ever have the same journey in life, but somehow we are able to cross paths with folks who share some of our same appreciations for things both pretty and practical.

“This reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen…and it’s one of my favorite color combos – the colors of MY kitchen! :)”

“Thank you for that thoughtful gift card explaining the meaning of this towel. I am making it for a friends wedding. She is making a big change from being a single city girl to a dairy farmer’s wife! I am embroidering their names along the bottom and also putting a little circle around their wedding date. I know this will be something she will cherish (and hopefully use!) for years to come.
 Keep up the great work!
 Hannah”
