I was recently approached by a gal coordinating the Artist’s Alley at the Junior League’s Spring Market. Although I’ve attended the Market in the past, I was totally unfamiliar with the Artist’s Alley. Turns out it’s one part of their Shopping for a Cause event this weekend, and is one more way they raise money to conduct community projects. At the event, artists have the opportunity to display a piece of work (any medium), a biography and their contact information. If it’s purchased, then artists consider the piece a donation and the Junior League benefits from the sale. How could I say no to that? The kids and I visited yesterday to check out the Market, Artist’s Alley, and see our friend Emily’s “Magnolia Creative” booth. Such an interesting mix of artist’s pieces, and shopping booths. The Market continues at the Shreveport Convention Center today and tomorrow and tickets are available at the door. You should totally check it out if you’re in the area!
A couple of cool new items from the Magnolia Creative booth…
